"Paint is just another way of keeping a diary." -Pablo Picasso
On August 11, 2018, I took a trip across the Atlantic to Paris, France to live + work as the Visiting Artist of The American Church in Paris. Each day I walked the streets of this "The City of Light," taking in the colors, textures, sounds + structures of the city-- being wooed by every single picturesque corner. When I returned to the studio then created small abstract paintings using oil paints + cold wax, not with the aim of painting what I saw, but rather portraying how the city made me feel.
Below are selected pieces from the collection I made in Paris.
It is a joy to be able to share this work with you.
